1. Caravan Holidays

Caravanning in the UK – so much fun even if it is raining!!

With Brexit uncertainty, have you considered a staycation in the UK? We have a beautiful country with many wonderful places to explore. From camping and glamping to B&B’s, hotels and self-catering, there’s so much to choose from. Plus, if your holidays are limited, you can go for a shorter period of time.

We had a wonderful short break staying in a caravan at the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s New Forest Site. Even though it was raining we were cosy in the caravan and had a fun day out at Beaulieu National Motor Museum. Read all about our NEW FOREST ADVENTURE to see how much fun we had.

If you don’t have a caravan, don’t worry you can hire an airstream for luxury camping with Experience Freedom who have glamping accommodation in some wonderful locations across the UK.

Have a Staycation: Adventures in Devon

We also visited North Devon for a long weekend. We love North Devon and try and visit as much as possible to see my in-laws who live there. It can be tricky keeping a toddler entertained for such a long drive but worth it when we’re there!

Have a read of my blog post WEEKEND FAMILY ADVENTURE IN DEVON to find out some of the wonderful places we visited in Devon including Lynton and Barnstable Railway.

Explore the Channel Islands

You can get to the channel islands by ferry or by flying. It’s just a short flight away and it feels like you are a million miles from home.

We visited Jersey and had such a wonderful time. There’s so much for families to enjoy, including Jersey Zoo, the beaches and some incredible castles which get young imaginations flowing.

We stayed at The Radisson Blu in St Helier which was the ideal location to explore the island and the hotel was lovely with stunning views. If you’re looking for accommodation in Jersey, read our review of the RADISSON BLU WATERFRONT JERSEY and watch the video below:

Visit Cyprus

Cyprus is my absolute favourite place to visit and feels like a second home. I’ve even been tempted to move to Cyprus as I love this beautiful Mediterranean island so much.

Go on a Disney Adventure at Disneyland Paris

Disney is magical and the magic is very much alive in Paris. Having been to Disney in Florida a few years ago, I was a little worried it wouldn’t compare but it exceeded my expectations. We had a really special time here and my son, who was only two at the time loved it! Disneyland Paris is easily accessibly from the UK by ferry, train or plane.

  1. All of these look so fun… We are on a tight budget and live in the United States so we can’t travel far but I love the idea of staycations… Because there are so many beautiful places here we can visit as well

  2. I’ve never been to Europe, but these all sounds like great things to do! I’ve always wanted to visit Disneyland Paris–it looks so beautiful!
