Disney Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats Recipe – so good you will think you’ve been to Disney!!
As part of my Disney at Home series we decided to try and recreate these famous and delicious treats from Disney.
They are easy to make and fun to cook with kids too. The ingredients are simple and affordable and it’s a fun way to recreate some Disney Magic at home.
Recipe: Disney Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats
These Disney Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats are so good you will think you’ve been to Disney!! The recipe is simple and easy to make and so much fun to cook with kids.
EQUIPMENT
- Mickey Mouse Cutters https://amzn.to/3eVBOKy £6.69 (affiliate link)
- Lollipop Sticks: https://amzn.to/3eTSAcN £1.90 (affiliate link)
- Baking Tin
- Cake Spatula
INGREDIENTS
- 60 g Non-Salted Butter
- 170 g Rice Krispies
- 250 g Marshmallows
- Optional 50g Currants Medium
- Generous amount of Sprinkles
- 5 to 6 sprays Fry Light Olive Oil Spray
INSTRUCTIONS
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan on a medium heat
- Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and melt, stirring constantly so you don’t burn the marshmallows. This should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Turn down the heat to low. Add the Rice Krispies and stir into the melted marshmallows. Don’t worry if they crunch a bit.
- Spray a baking tray with fry light olive oil spray to prevent your marshmallow mixture from sticking to the pan.
- Pour the marshmallow mixture into the baking tray. It should be around half an inch thick, or slightly less. Even out with a cake spatula, allow to cool and then put in the fridge to set for around an hour.
- Once set use your Mickey Mouse cutters to cut out Mickey Mouse shapes.
- Add sprinkles – the Mickey Mouse shapes should be so sticky they will just stick!! You can also melt chocolate and drizzle or dip your Mickey Mouse Shape into the chocolate. You can get creative by adding M&Ms or smarties.
- Insert the lollipop into the bottom of the Mickey Mouse Shape. They are now ready to be eaten!!
