Moving into an existing property generally has less environmental impact than building a house in the short term. However, with a self-build, you have more control over the long-term sustainability.

1) Eco-friendly plot

  • Whether living in the area will require more car use, increasing your carbon footprint. 
  • How much sun the land is exposed to? It will need more energy to run if it receives little or no sun.
