Pernaton Gel Review and Giveaway

I recently hiked 26 miles over the South Downs raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support. One of my essential items which helped me get to the finish line was Pernaton Gel. As soon as my legs started to ache (at around 8 miles) I applied the gel. I didn’t have high expectations but was amazed at how the gel instantly relieved the pain of my sore and stiff muscles and I was able to carry on.

Myself and a friend also applied to our aching feet too (about 20 miles in) and it really helped! I’m not quite sure what we would have done without it!

About Pernaton Gel Forte

There are two types of Pernaton Gel available. I used the Pernaton Gel Forte for the Mighty Hike which has the added ingredients of Cayenne Pepper extract. It also has physiologically active essentials oils.

The original Perna extract of the New Zealand green-lipped Mussel (perna canaliculus) is a natural source of unique, nourishing and regenerative substances. Thanks to its high content of Glycosaminoglycans (GAG), important for the cartilage, it supplies the body with essential nutrients giving vital support to joint function. In addition, original Perna extract has a functional Glycogen complex, long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, 11 different minerals and 18 vital amino acids, so it’s no wonder it was such a huge help on the hike!

The gel creates a lasting and pleasantly warm feeling which stimulates muscles and increases circulation in the skin. As such making it ideal for sports or people whose joints are already badly worn due to excessive stress – like me on the Mighty Hike!

It is also suitable for those with medical conditions which result in sore or aching muscles and joints. In fact I used it again the other day as I had such a sore neck I struggled to turn my head right. After putting the gel on I instantly felt relief from the ache. In my humble opinion it really is amazing!

Applying Pernaton Gel

The gel itself is non greasy and was perfect for applying on the go as it didn’t leave my hands feeling sticky. It has a nice light scent from the cayenne pepper extract but not overpowering at all.

As soon as I applied the gel (to my legs whilst trying to balance in a portaloo on the Mighty Hike!) I felt instantly relieved. I had been beginning to panic that I was already in pain only 8 miles in, but the gel easily absorbed into my skin and instantly made me feel lots better.
