How to have a Children’s Tea Party with Winnie the Pooh

When you are young there is nothing more delightful than having a children’s tea party! Especially if you happen to have an amazing tea set and the most gorgeous Winnie the Pooh flopsies to keep you company.

When we were sent the the Disney Winnie Pooh Flopsies by Simba Toys UK to review we couldn’t resist a trip to Pooh Sticks Bridge. As a massive Winnie the Pooh Fan it’s one of my favourite places to visit.

Since then we’ve had a couple more Winnie the Pooh Tea Party Picnics so we’ve become quite the pros at hosting a children’s tea party. Read on to discover everything you need to have a Children’s Tea Party.

The Friends

Children's tea party with Winnie the Pooh and Friends

A Tea Party is just not a Tea Party without the best of friends so we were over the moon when we were gifted Disney Winnie the Pooh Flopsies including Tigger, Eeyore and Winnie the Pooh himself.

These super soft and cuddly plush toys are prefect for Winnie the Pooh fans, kids and adults alike! I have to admit as a massive Winnie the Pooh fan I was very tempted to keep these for myself!!! But not a chance of that when my son clocked eyes on them. They’ve been sleeping next to him every night, we’ve had Winnie the Pooh stories at bedtimes and Winnie the Pooh is dragged around the house in proper Christopher Robin style as Winnie the Pooh goes ‘bump, bump, bump’ all the way down the stairs.

The Perfect Spot for a Children’s Tea Party

The beauty of a children’s tea party is that you can have it anywhere you want to. It’s still fun, even if you have the tea party in your own living room. We have had a few tea parties both home and away.

Pooh Sticks Bridge

This was the most magical spot for our tea party. We walked the Winnie the Pooh Trail to Pooh Sticks Bridge.

We set up our Tea Party with our Winnie the Pooh Toys with Pooh Sticks Bridge right behind us. After our tea party we had a go at playing Pooh Sticks on the very spot where A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin Milne were said to play Pooh Sticks almost one hundred year ago.

Our back garden

Of course you don’t have to find a magical picnic spot. Sometimes having a picnic in your own back garden can be just as fun!

The Perfect Food for a Children’s Tea Party

Everyone knows that Winnie the Pooh loves honey so what better way to enjoy a Winnie the Pooh Tea Party than with a round of honey sandwiches. My son loves honey sandwiches almost as much as Winnie the Pooh. And like Winnie the Pooh he would gladly have a honey sandwich without the bread if I let him (I don’t)!

On our menu we had:

  • Honey sandwiches (of course)
  • Cucumber and carrot sticks
  • Blueberries
  • Home made Upside Down Peach Cake (made by Grandma)
